Hi Ross,
I can change the Getting Started page (at least the one in github), which I will do later today. It would be nice after that change is made to update the website with the current github pages as there are quite a few differences now.
+1 on some kind of user pages, links from the changeset browser, etc. to osm user pages are amateurish at best. Would be nice if they were user editable in some way so that contributors could add some details if they want or link out to a wiki page if they want. Alternatively, would it be better if a user page api call just redirected to a wiki page which people could just maintain themselves?
Kevin
I was looking along the lines of having a page like the osm user page but with the detail that they are a user on fosm.org.
If not a fosm.org user then it would redirect to the osm user page.
So even the /api/0.6/user/details would be sufficient, but would need to be something like /api/0.6/user/<username> assuming that only fosm users would respond with those details.
Looking to link from josm-fosm history page and from the browse pages.
Mike,
Latest version of josm-fosm available at:
http://map.4x4falcon.com/josm/josm-fosm_5223.jar
for upload to pine02.
or maybe 80n can provide access for me to upload josm-fosm to this directory by ftp.
Can we add a link on the getting started page, something like:
"Get josm set up for fosm.org from here: http://pine02.fosm.org/josm"
above the current link to the osm version.
Regards
Ross
