Hotel discounts?

I apologize if this is not the right place for this question, but other avenues haven't responded. 

Is there any news on conf group rates for local hotels? I've held off on booking for this reason, but we're getting close. I'd really like to hear a yes or no on this ASAP.

Sorry for the lack of response.

We haven't had the bandwidth to arrange for any hotel discounts this year.

If someone on the list wants to step up and make some calls, please speak up.

Otherwise speakers and attendees should book asap.

The wiki lists a map of hotels and alt lodging options, such as Airbnb.

If anyone has a hotel preference from past years, please speak up so it can be looked into for discount rates.

Merilyn, it would be awesome if you pick 3-5 close-in hotels off that map on the wiki that are off a MAX line or are downtown. Thank you so much!

I made 2 calls this evening when I got home  and found out that I should call and speak to reservations people tomorrow during the day. I did get the names of 2 people to speak to.

I have contacted a number of hotels.

This is what I have so far:

Paramount Hotel is opening a block of 10 rooms (double queens) at $159 +14.5% tax 1-855-215-0160 (toll free) ask for open source bridge rate call to reserve by Mon June 10. This rate should be available available in 30 mins (posting this at 1 pm PDT)

portland marriott city center discount link is there now.

also info re 10% discount rate offered at ace hotel.

Benson hotel said no discounted rates available for those dates, but wished us well with the conference.
