Dear Friends

Kindly go through this case

Case of # tibia proximal one third with head injury. interlocking done in Saudi .Varus and procurvatum deformity. Planeed for nail removal and deformity correction  Screw head exposed [ lat side prox third tibia]The screw head was of a peculiar design – the  standard screw driver was loose I tried then with nose plier and it wasn’t possible- abandoned procedure,

Please tell me what implant this and what special screw driver and other instruments  I may need for removal

Looks similar to Smith&Nephew's Tibial Meta nail.

Very nicely reduced and well fixed but reminds me of Lohar chawl. But sometimes in these fractures to get a hold and mobilise early one has to fix them like this respecting the soft tissues.

Really true, looks like a clump of metal around a beautiful upper end tibia. Only the surgeon concerned knows how much stress and labour is involved in getting it reduced & stable. Looks terribly metallic but a job very well done.
