MGNREGS public hearing is a DRAMA at Daspalla Public hearing on MGNREGS has been conducted at Daspalla Panchayat Samiti Premises on dated 28/7/11 in which Additional Collector of Nayagarh Mr. Fakir Mohan Nayak was joined as the chief guest to the program. In others Santanu Kumar Dash, BDO Daspalla, Samiti Chairman, Upendra Sahu, Daspalla, Tahasildar Daspalla, GPEO, Daspalla was also present. ADM Nayagarh heard all the irregularities took place during last 1 year. Most complaints were made from the labours as well as the Panchayat Sarapanch that delay in Bill payment & postal delay are the main causes which lead to disinterest of work under MGNREGS for the MGNREGS job card holders. Social Activist Prana Krushna Behera complained that the job cards are being mortgaged with the contractors in some places. On behalf of Mati Maa Mahila Morcha, Social Activist Alok Padhi complained a severe question that why the Dist & block administration has has not paid the same amount of piece rate as per the revised wage rate of Govt. of India. While answered to this question BDO, Daspalla said we have sent a letter to the PD DRDA & Collector Nayagarh since two months in this regard. When Padhi asked to provide the letter number & date in which the letter was sent the BDO told come to the office after the meeting will over, I will give you all the information you want. When Alok Padhi went to BDO chamber & asked to provide the same, the BDO answered if you will claim this information through RTI, I will provide you.
