(I imagine only Patrick can answer this, but still...)

I haven't had a chance to look at the code tonight (kid stuff going on), but I was wondering about the feed fetching.  IIRC, it uses Quartz, but something about it is disconnected right now?  Is there a class with a main method that will run the updates so I can just wire it to a cron job temporarily?
