Engineer
Location: Washington
DC
Can take candidates
with H1 Visa Status, EAD, Green Card holder or US
Citizen.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science,
Management Information Systems (or a closely related field), or an
equivalent combination of education, training and experience is necessary
- A minimum of three years of experience
designing, installing and managing storage area networks (SAN) to include
zoning of switches, creation and allocation of LUNs and trouble shooting.
- Successful candidates will possess:
-
Hardware: Fibre channel architecture, large
disk array configuration and management (specifically, Hitachi
9500V, 9800V, USP1100), StorageTek and Quantum Tape Libraries, Brocade
Switches, Emulex and QLogic HBAs
- Software: Hitachi
Storage Navigator, Universal Replicator, True Copy, and/or Shadow Image.
Brocade Web Tools. Veritas Storage Foundation. Veritas NetBackup.
DataGuard. RMAN.
- Must have extensive experience with UNIX (esp
Solaris) and Windows storage definition and modification
- Must have experience with Volume and File
System creation and maintenance on Host OS'es
- Must have deep understanding of storage
protocols including Fibre Channel, ISCSI, NFS, CIFS, NDMP protocols and
hardware that uses these protocols
- Must have Experience Designing, implementing,
and supporting SAN environments, with specific experience working with
Hitachi High-End SAN products.
- Provisioning storage with Windows Server
(v2000 and/or 2003) and UNIX (Solaris v9 and 10) SAN-connected
environments
- Architecting, implementing and operating High-End
SAN devices
- Compaq/HP and SUN servers in a SAN-connected
environment
- SAN switch environments, specifically Brocade
fabric switches
- Exercising failover capabilities of SAN in a
real or simulated disaster recovery scenario.
Bonus:
- Experience with Veritas NetBackup
- Equivalent experience in competitor (EMC,
NetApp) SAN technology is useful
