No one can answer that question without more information, such as how
many concurrent sessions do you expect, what sort of transactions are
expected, the average size of those transactions, etc.

When you can provide that information then someone may be able to
steer you toward some 'reasonable' settings.

Dear Team

Well please check the answers to the question mentioned below

how many concurrent sessions do you expect,
Ans:20 concurrent sessions

what sort of transactions are expected,
Ans:The transactions are of the bank proposals .When a bank wasnted to
provide a loan to the consumer or the customer the customer has to
fill up the proposals. These proposals are getting inside the
applications which are getting inserted, updated and deleted through
the application in the database. The number of transaction coming in a
year are in thousands to lakhs from the application. The number of
users are 300 and number of tables are 549.well let me tell you that
it consists of 10-20 tranxsactions in a day.

the average size of those transactions,
Ans:10 seconds and the sum of the data_length are 205.

Do tell me if you want any information?

Install Statspack and generate a report for this system. Then post
that report here.

You ask a question no one except YOU can answer, and you can't answer
it because you can't, or won't, run a Statspack report to find any
problem areas you may have.

When you generate a Statspack report and at least POST it here THEN
someone may be able to assist you. Without that information NO ONE
can tell you what is 'correct' for your system. Period.

@Manoj: From the type of questions you are asking, it seems you dont understand the meaning of these parameters.
I suggest you to involve a professional DBA in this work. There is no point you wasting time on this.

Set db_cache_advice to ON and say which exact version you are on.
Search for that parameter at tahiti.oracle.com

'oracle 9i version' covers quite a bit of territory, from 9.0.1.2
through 9.2.0.8, so which is it you're using? Such information is
reported in the V$VERSION view and in the banner from SQL*Plus at
login.

Don't expect any useful assistance until you post the EXACT VERSION
you are using.

Is there a somewhat valid reason you're still using a desupported, and
unpatched, version of Oracle? And how do you expect anyone to assess
your system settings without at least a current Statspack report?
