to Oracle enhanced adapter for ActiveRecord
Hello, Raimonds, et al:

First, a thank you to you Raimonds for providing and maintaining this
version of the adaptor. I've been using it for several weeks now, and
have found it extremely useful and reliable.

In the release notes for version 1.1.1 you mention the limitation for
fractional seconds and timestamps: "Unfortunately due to current ruby-
oci8 limitations when you will retrieve TIMESTAMP values it will be
without fractional seconds (but if you pass Time value with fractional
seconds then it will be stored in database)."

I am running into this limitation (using 1.2.2) and was wondering if
there are any suggested workarounds, and/or if someone could provide
some additional details on the limitation and where to find it in the
adapter code so that I can look for a workable hackaround myself?

Thanks,
Bill

I found out that current version (2.0.2) of ruby-oci8 gem supports
fractional seconds in TIMESTAMP values.

I made fix for oracle_enhanced adapter and pushed it to
http://github.com/rsim/oracle-enhanced
So if it is urgent for you then you can clone git repository and run
"rake install_gem" task.
Or you can wait next release of oracle_enhanced if it is not urgent :)

Hi Raimonds,

This is excellent news - thank you. I will most likely give the git
version a go mid-week or so, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Best,
Bill
