I mean if u got 10.2.0.1 installed then in the &lt;br&gt; inventory u&#39;ll see 10.2.0.1 in inventory.xml &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt; But prior to 10g like in 9i Oracle was maintaining OUI

  Hi Aditya, &lt;br&gt; I think you are looking at wrong ORACLE_HOME i mean &lt;br&gt; you should check it in $IAS_ORACLE_HOME not in $ORACLE_HOME. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I mean the complete path where you should look for OUI version is &lt;br&gt; applmgr$ cd $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/appsoui/oui ( note appsoui) &lt;br&gt; applmgr$ cat oraparam.ini |grep OUI

  Hi Vikram, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;The question is regarding the OUI version. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;In Inventory.xml of oraInventory (central) found this entry, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;lt;VERSION_INFO&amp;gt; &lt;br&gt; &amp;lt;SAVED_WITH&amp;gt;2.1.0.17.0&amp;lt;/SAVED_ WITH&amp;gt; &lt;br&gt; &amp;lt;MINIMUM_VER&amp;gt;2.1.0.6.0&amp;lt;/MINIMU M_VER&amp;gt; &lt;br&gt; &amp;lt;/VERSION_INFO&amp;gt; &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Guess, 2.1.0.17.0 is the OUI version. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Also in $ORACLE_HOME/oui/oraparam.ini, found this:
