I look at it a different way, if Optibike can make a lot of money on
the rich, it helps the company survive and furthers R&D. Possibly it
can help subsidize less flashy bikes for the rest of us, kind of a
trickle down economics. As long as technology advances we all benifit.
Kind of how airlines make more money on First class and keeps coach
affordable for others - although one could argue all of Optibikes are
at First Class prices : ). But really, a company will charge what the
market will bear; hopefully it will mean better, more affordable bikes
in the future, and an american company that survives.
