Hi all,
from now on the Pax-Web 3.0.0-SNAPSHOT master branch supports Apache
Tomcat as an alternative web-container.
So a 3.0.0.M1 might be released any time.
Please keep in mind that at this stage the support for the Tomcat
web-container is still *experimental*
If you want to use Pax-Web in a productive environment make sure you
have chosen Jetty as your embedded Servlet Container.

Congrats on this achievement Achim! I'll give it a shot for my application and will come with feedback. Let's see about that pain of switching and what my performance tests think about it :-)
Kind regards, Andreas

Hi Andreas,
keep in mind it's still experimental and not yet feature complete :)
But I think it's worth taking a first glance at it.
A big thank you goes to Romain Gilles for the initial start of this
implementation,
without him we wouldn't be at this point.

In that case: many thanks to Achim and Romain :-) Thanks for the
warning, but I wont go into production with snapshots unprepaired :-)
Just wanting to give it a shot with all my selenium, exam and jmeter
test suites... let's see how many of my usecases are already covered
:-)
