I've noticed on a few occasions that opkg will now remove orphaned
packages (yay!), but sometimes it's a bit overeager and removes
packages I still need.
The latest case was upgrading ekiga + ptlib + opal, which made opkg
remove libldap-2.4-2. The problem is this:
root@omapzoom2:~# opkg info ptlib | grep ldap
Depends: hicolor-icon-theme, libc6 (>= 2.9), libldap-2.4-2 (>=
2.4.17), libssl0.9.8 (>= 0.9.8j), libcrypto0.9.8 (>= 0.9.8j),
libexpat1 (>= 2.0.0), libsdl-1.2-0 (>= 1.2.14), libstdc++6 (>= 4.3.3),
libgcc1 (>= 4.3.3)
I'll see if I can rig an easy testcase for this, but no promises.

Koen
That would be great. I can't see the cause of the problem from this
information alone.
