would it be possible to have the download manager shutdown the computer on
completion of downloads?not everyone is on broadband, there are still many
unlucky soles that are stuck with dialup for a while and its not always
possible to finish a download before retiring to bed,and im not happy
about leaving my computer unattended all evening while i sleep.

I would imagine that would be horrible. My computer is old, and it
takes quite a long time to boot up. I would hate to download something,
want to install it, and the darned thing turn itself off.

Isn't there something in your Internet Settings to only dial when
necessary? Seems to me I remember my computer/ISP dropping the
connection after some time of inactivity.
