opera 9.51 final...i am unable to right click and save email image
attachments.
save is grayed out. I can't even retrieve it from cache. It gives a file
name that doesn't even show up in a file search.

Same here, Unable to use right-click/save ( right-click/open is also
greyed out). For attachment, can save the images by using the buttons on
toolbar, but have no idea for inline images.

Can you drag the image to a new tab? Maybe that will open the file on its
own, allowing you to then use the normal "File > Save" option to save it
until the problem's fixed?

No. The image can't be opened in a new tab, I think this drag-to-open
works the same as right-click/open.

sorry, it was inline images i couldn't save. once i set it up to reply
and grabbed the attachment which always shows as image001.jpg (well mine
was a jpeg) . But subsequent tries found the "save image" grayed out. (
come to think of it, i'm not sure if i tried forward or reply. that may
be the diffenenential in my success/failure.) I wonder if i could actually
forward it to myself and grab it as an attachment on the incoming email.
Unfortunately, i don't have a sample on hand to try. Very convoluted way
of getting it even if it does work though.
