Running Opera 9.52/10108 (norwegian) on Win32/Windows XP.
Neither [right click => source code]
nor [CTRL+U]
nor [Show => source code]
will start the source code viewer. I can, however, send the page to the
validator [CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+U] and get correct validation from there.
In Tools => Configuration => Advanced => Programs => Program to show
source code => Choose (sorry for the wording; I'm just guessing the
English equivalents for the Norwegian words I see) I have tried the
three options:
- let Opera show the code
- let the predefined program show it
That would be "C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe" "%s"
- let another program show it.
That would be "C:\UltraEdit\uedit32.exe"
None of these three shows anything. Starting the programs manually
beforehand does not affect this behaviour. I use both programs (my
default Notepad++, and UEdit) on a regular basis; they work just fine,
and they have never refused to open from elsewhere.
Thanks for any pointers.

I am facing the same problem, see
<http://google.com/groups?threadm=6hintdFmcp1pU1%40mid.individual.net>.
It seems to me that it works on some sites, e.g. <http://www.welt.de/>
or <http://dilbert.com/fast/>, while it fails on others,
e.g. <http://www.spiegel.de/> or <http://www.w3.org/>. Very annoying.

OK - thanks.

Just for the record: I got a tip next door at opera.deutsch that
allowing disk cache will fix it. And it did!
