Is there a way to highlight words or phrases in an Opera E-mail in order to
add style features such as boldface, italics, underscoring, color, font, and
point size?

I don't see any pull-down menus or buttons on my e-mail screen to do this.

Sorry for replying after so long, but I seldom visit my Operamail webmail
page but I did today.
I think it's fairly obvious - in the 'Compose' page, just below the box
where you type your message, is a button labled "Switch to POWER editor"
if you are currently using the "Basic" (ie plain text) editor. Click
there to toggle to the alternative editor.
