How to recover my opera session?

I've got about a million tabs open in Opera. Someone else asks to look
something up, and when he finishes, he kills not the tab, but the
entire window.

How do I restore my lost session? My impression so far is that this is
impossible, but it seems awfully limited for an otherwise excellent
browser like Opera to suddenly throw information like that away.

So I'm hoping somebody here knows where Opera stores this history on
the mac. (I can't even find where Opera stores the regular saved
version on the mac.)

Thanks for any help,
Martijn.

If you did not quit Opera your Window (incl. all open tabs) is available via Windows > Closed.

All paths can be found on the Opera > About Opera page. In the preferences folder there's a session folder where Opera stores it's .win files.
