I use opera 10 ie: the version before unite was included.
I have no interest in updating the browser to a version that includes
"unite" ,but every so often I get a notification at startup that a new
version is available and would I like to update , oddly there is no button
to say no thanks and don't remind me again.

Speed Dial thumbnails

When I try to put [link] on Speed Dial I get a
blank thumbnail with text (The Financial Tube) below. Clicking the blank
thumbnail produces the page. All the other Speed Dial thumbnails display
properly, and the tab for that page displays a thumbnail properly. So
what prevents this thumbnail from displaying on Speed Dial?

Yeah - you're right. I remember a few years ago editing the Speedial .ini
list and it worked great. You can do much with an .ini file. :)
Thanks for that reminder. I do need to keep on referring back to it as my
knowledge in this area increases and I can make more use of that I read.

I think you can manually delete those views from the some .ini file. Never
done so myself, so you'll need someone else to help you with this.
In Opera you use filters to organise messages. Be it email, newsgroups or
feeds. There are no folders in Opera for that, and I doubt there ever will

Is there any way of controlling the layout of the Email, Feeds, Filters,
Searches, etc on the Mail panel (F4)? I never use most of them and its
cluttering the page. I think I speak for most users in that they want
their newsgroups in one area, their email in another, and their feeds in

When I recall a JAVA applet in the same session, window is mismatched; I think that
the cache holds previous image and collides with new one.
Clicking on Reload doesn't clean the screen.

in Opera 10, WinXP, I have "now"/suddenly the problem that external
links (a href ="" target="_blank") are always opened in a background
tab und will not be activated in a tab in the foreground.
Which setting caused this behaviour?
