I was restarting Opera 10.10 beta and all my bookmarks were gone. Well, I
thought they were gone, but the bookmark file was still there in
~/[user]/.opera. I pointed Opera to the bookmark file again in the
bookmark preferences and they were back. However, what I wonder is why
Opera "forgot" where the bookmark file was without me changing anything in
the settings? I am running Opera on Linux Mint 7 64 bit.

I had a similar experience going from 9.64 to 10.00 - I think the name of
the file containing the bookmarks used to be opera6.adr and in version 10
it's bookmarks.adr, but the upgrade process doesn't always copy the
contents of opera6.adr to replace the 'new installation' version of
bookmarks.adr.

Thanks. What was weird was that it didn't happen during an upgrade but
rather during a restart of Opera.
