Could anyone tell me what is going on?
I haven't had any problems. Please pick a specific url, and describe what
you're seeing that you shouldn't be seeing.

I am having the same problem with Hotmail. Although I can log in, Opera
then gets "stuck" waiting for something to download (right now it is
"completed request to spe.atdmt.com"), preventing access to any messages
shown in the inbox.

Are you using a hosts file to redirect ad sites to 127.0.0.1? If so, you
have to have a server running on the localhost, or wait for those connections
to timeout.
Thanks.
I don't know how to explain my situation. Please find a list of error shown in error console
when I access to sign in page of hotmail as follow.

If I open the error console after loading http://www.hotmail.com the first
error message I have is ...
Opera has modified the JavaScript on bl146w.blu146.mail.live.com (Making sure button constants are DOM-standard compatible
tagName is lowercase for some custom XML i...). See browser.js for details
The rest of the errors are css errors. I don't get the final javascript error,
that you're getting.
Try selecting "Help/Check for updates", which will update the browser.js file,
if you don't already have the latest version. Mine has ...
var bjsversion=' Opera Desktop 9.60, October 15, 2008 ';

No, and I didn't have this problem until upgrading to 9.61

They never timeout.

It is regretted that I am unable to update browser.js. When I check update, my opera displays:
"The language currently set is not on the list of supported languages. Opera is therefore
unable to determine which is the most recent version available for your language."
The version I currently use is 9.62 English(US).
I use FireFox 2.0 to access Hotmail and Xanga. Everything is all right.
I hope work team of Opera could solve the issue very soon.
With regards.

Try changing opera:config#UserPrefs|BrowserJavaScript to 1, which should
force opera to update the browser.js as per
http://www.opera.com/support/usingopera/operaini/#userprefs
Don't forget to scroll down and select save, after changing the value.
Also try selecting Tools/Preferences, and on the general tab select
the language as plain en, to see if that makes a difference.
I had solved part of the problem to login Hotmail & Xanga by:
1. set the user javascript switch to 0;
2. set HTTP Loading Delayed Timeout to 10.
Unfortunately, most of functions in Hotmail pages do not work! I wonder Opera's javascript is
not fully compatible to MSN's web page requirements.
Today they changed the looks of my hotmail. None of the buttons works now.
It's like that opera is waiting for something, a weird error msg is shown
when clicking on a button. Javascript error I believe. Can't read my email
anymore ! Help !
(have to go back to i.e. for that, damn)

o Firefox 2
o Internet Explorer 6
It does appear that Hotmail is just bleeping itself
(and its users), not even viable in Microsoft's own IE6.
