I have just installed win7 and have been driving people crazy complaining
about my sound card... Creative SB X-Fi and drivers, etc.

I finally have the correct drivers, and the sound in my system Win7 works
perfect, until I try to access a video in/on Utube with Opera.

As soon as the video begins, the system emits a loud piercing noise and
crashes.

This did not happen before I installed the audio drivers...I could go to
utube with Opera and view a video (no sound, of course)

I tried several browsers and not one has this problem.

Again, Opera crashes my Win7 system when viewing a video in Utube.

The problem does not duplicate in other sites, so I'm thinking it has to do
with the Utube and Opera interface... if there is such a thing.

Any suggestions or comments? This problem has been driving me mad for three
days. I finally was able to narrow it down.

Many thanks in advance...
T

Well YouTube works fine here with Opera 10.01 and Win 7 Home. Since it
worked OK before you installed the audio drivers the problem would seem to
lie there and with Win7.
Win 7 does appear to have problems with audio - do a search. Here the
audio works fine from cold / warm boot but after Sleep the audio is badly
distorted.
