To be clear, OOP plugins are simply disabled on 32-bit windows, but
not the rest of the platforms. It appears that the 32-bit windows
platform is the one with the bug, as none of the others seems to have
this problem; either that, or they require OOP plugins for another
reason. Opera still intends to have OOP plugins in 32-bit windows,
but is going to fix the problem before reenabling them. That's my
reading of the situation.
FWIW, OOP plugins have worked well for me and kept my browser from
crashing on a few occassions with flash, which is very welcome.
