The bittorrent client in Opera 10.10 is slightly improved it seems. I am
no longer always getting wrong indication on how much have been downloaded
and much is remaining. CPU usage during bt downloads is now acceptable.
However, still a lot of torrent downloads ends at 99% and gets stuck
there. Sometimes stopping and restarting them works, but on larger
downloads it doesn't. The thing is that the file is completely downloaded.
If I just stop the download and open the files they work fine that being
video, music or even documents. Since this problem has been pointed out
"forever" I assume there's no quick fix, but I am hoping some effort is
put into improving the bt client in Opera. It's just so damn convenient
having it all, including bittorrent, within Opera's UI. I move a lot among
OS's and take my Opera data directory with me on a truecrypt volume. The
more I can do in Opera the easier these transitions are and with
bittorrent working I do not have to learn several bt clients on these
platforms.
