Gone, or just forgotten?
Most likely they are still there in their respective folders, but 9.64 doesn't point to those
folders.
:) You're right.
9.64 stores in \Opera\Opera\profile, while 10.10 stores in \Opera\Opera
I'm at 10.10 now and all's well....except for all the web pages that
STILL don't work correctly in Opera, so I still need to keep Firefox
installed for all those, or else use (ugh) IE for them. It's a shame
that even now at v.10.x, Opera still can't be used as the sole browser.

I do not have one page these days not working in Opera. I guess I am
lucky. I can even configure my router now using Opera. That didn't work in
9.x

I could configure every router I tried in Opera 9.x (D-Link, Netgear,
Microsoft) and still in 10.x
There are lots of web features that don't work in Opera. For example,
the Amazon Reader, which allows you to look at sample pages of books on
sale at Amazon.com. Here is one:
http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Symbol-Dan-Brown/dp/0385504225/ref=pd_ts_b_2?ie=UTF8&s=books
"Click to look inside" link reloads the page with this message on it:
"Your web browser does not support this feature. Please visit our
Frequently Asked Questions for a list of compatible web browsers that
support the Amazon Online Reader."
So, I have to open the page in another browser.
Here's another on the same site -
Amazon.com: Ink & Toner Finder:
http://www.amazon.com/Ink-Toner-Finder/b?ie=UTF8&node=672508011
Click the dropdown to Select Brand, choose Canon (my printer), and the
next field never "Select series" never populates so you cannot go on. I
have to open the page in Firefox, where it works as expected.
There are a number of other sites where such dropdown lists do not
populate or do not continue to the next page. These on Amazon are just
two I happened to hit today. There are other features on other sites
that also do not work. If major features on a mainstream site like
Amazon can't be used, then Opera is simply not a useful sole browser
yet. It's a shame because so much effort has gone into developing eye
candy and less than useful features, while ignoring this basic
functionality.

Right click on the page. Select edit site preferences. On the Network
tab, use the drop-down button to select mask as firefox. Then it works
fine.
Can't blame opera for a website refusing to send the content, when the
site uses browser sniffing like that.

Well, thanks for that! Now both pages work. I'll try it on other sites
where I have the problem. I was using "Identify as Firefox" but
apparently "Mask as Firefox" is required. What is different about Mask
instead of Identify, exactly?

When I tried to configure my D-Link DIR-655 nothing I entered in the
advanced settings would stick. I could log in, I could enter data, but
after having saved nothing was there. That changed in Opera 10.x

Thanks! Got one that doesn't work! Well, it doesn't work in a few other
browsers on Linux either like Konqueror and Arora

I see it doesn't work. Not good.

I agree. Amazon should work 100%.
