Error when checking for updates.

Hi,
Every time I try to check for updates I get a pop-up with the following
mesage: "An error occurred while checking for a new version of Opera.".
Any idea why it fails, and is it anything I can do to fix it?

Hi I just found your post.. if you're still having same problem I
would say restart computer first.. I'm having the problem also but
when I use the browser to go to the auto update website (found here
opera:config#AutoUpdate|AutoupdateServer ) I get an internal server
error. So it might be that the server is down or something. I would
try that address and see what comes up.
