I thought podcasts worked through RSS, and that if Opera did RSS it would do podcasts. Indeed I thought
podcasting support was universal and everybody but me was already doing them.
However, I tried to subscribe to a podcast at http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=144#podcasting
I copied the address they said to paste in your podcasting program
http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=29&rss_content=counterspin
but I got the identical content with a subscribe box I got with their RSS text feeds, nothing related to
downloading an audio file.
Am I missing something? Am I trying to do something Opera does not do? Is there something wrong on these
pages?

The mp3 links are not displayed on the preview screen, but if you
subscribe to the feed, the mp3 links will be shown when you read the
feed's content.

Opera will not download the podcasts automatically, but it *will* display
mp3 links that you can click to send off to your media player.

The link for the feed containing the mp3 files is:
http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=29&rss_content=counterspin
It's a bit confusing how it's laid out on the site, but the link to audio
is different from the ones going to the blog and recent additions.
I have several podcasts and video podcasts subscribed in Opera and they
are handled very well even when there's embedded video in the entries.

Just make sure where your Dowloaded items go to and dump everything there. Then copy them to an Audio folder and play them with your media player. Hopefully you're not using iTunes. That just complicates everything.
