F3 like in all Windows software...
as an alternative you could click somewhere in the page and type a dot .
and then the search term i.e.:
.test
and it will highlight all strings containing the word "test".

Hello,
Yes, a "CTRL"+"F".
F3 just said that it couldn't find "milk" (my most recent search on a
different page.
Typing ".test" did indeed highlight all the "test" strings on the page,
in a way similar to typing "test" in the "Find in page" but I couldn't
find a way of advancing the one that was highlighted in green.
Thanks anyway!
Ctrl+F opens a new "Find" dialog. I'm looking for a way to move the
focus to the "Find in page" "button" that I have in my toolbar.

There used to be a preference which bound Ctrl+F to focusing the Fnd in
Page box. I'm just trying to figure why it doesn't work any more (even via
opera:config) - I hadn't noticed since I use .searching all the time.

Here are the search functions in the standard_keyboard.ini file:
f ctrl = Find
/ = Find Inline, 1
. = Find Inline, 1
/ shift = Find Inline, 2
comma = Find Inline, 2
g ctrl = Find next
You can modify them as you wish.

opera:config/#UserPrefs|UseIntegratedSearch
When checked, ctrl + f focuses the Find in Page searchbox, wherever it is
(mine is on my personal bar) - Didn't work for me the first time I tried
it - not sure why.
note that in menu6.ini there is a commented-out line as the last item in
the Browser Edit Menu, with the actions Enable inline find | Disable
inline find - you can reactivate this if you want a means to toggle the
two behaviours.

When you have found the first iteration of your search term, press F3 to
advance to the sucessive iterations of that term.

Opera 9.24 - <http://www.opera.com>
This will have to wait until I can afford a larger screen. I selected
UseIntegratedSearch and clicked on "Save". A tiny popup window of some
sort with a red border appeared briefly (about 0.25 seconds) and then a
Javascript window considerably taller than my maximum resolution
(1280x1024) can display. There are no controls in the visible area, and
all I can do is close it. It contains a list of settings that stops far
sort of UseIntegratedSearch. The UseIntegratedSearch reverts to its
unchecked state.
If I can figure out how to change this setting by editing a file, I'll
have another go.

opera:config#UserPrefs|UseIntegratedSearch
Use this link to go there. The / is messing things up. Filed as #302400

Sorted. Perfect! Thank you!
It even has the effect I wanted; an added bonus. :-) I'll have to find
another excuse for that larger screen I wanted now.

What do the 1 and 2 mean in these commands?
I have these keyboard shortcuts set as you describe. For me, however, /
triggers Find Inline as I expect, but / shift seems to do nothing.

1 = all text
2 = only links

FYI: This cannot be set in my 10 beta; I get a slew of error messages,
and the change gets ignored.

Oh, that's weird. Something goes very wrong there on opera:config in Opera 10!
