"There might not be a "new beta" until 8.0 needs testing. And that
won't happen any time soon. (Please don't discuss this. Whether it will
happen or not is completely beyond your control. Maybe there will be
newsgroup betas for bugfix versions, maybe not.)"

Yes, I think that that I won't discuss it, as whether it happens or not is
completely beyond my control.

I don't like the idea much but this is their choice.
Yup. I'm not gonna discuss it either...

Yes, please cancel your post to prevent people from jumping over
nothing.
Thanks for taking the quote completely out of context.
The point is that whether or not betas are released - and when they
are released - is not up to the general public, and there is no point
in littering the dedicated beta groups with such discussions.
If its nothing, then there's no fear of people jumping all over it.

Is this the official Opera Software policy position on the question of free
will? We've been discussing that question for at least the last 2000 years
or so, and don't understand why we should suddenly stop.

Opera Software has decided to put and end to this "free will" thing,
since it seems to encourage people to dare look at other products.
After teleportation is implemented in Opera 8.0, we will look into
brain washing technology to keep our customers. No promises, but we
could be talking Opera 8.5 or possibly 9.0 here.

Don't forget opera.fat.lady.singing, just for kicks. ;)

by Opera 8.2, could Opera implement replicators, and will Opera for PADD's
and Mark V Tricorders be avaliable? Also, will a LCARS interface be
offered, and can we expect a recompile for the trinary architecture, or
will we still have to use the universal translator?
tbt.
