Subject: Owl run in Ubuntu in VMware's problem

I install the Ubuntu 12.04 into the VMware.  After a hard job in seting up
the jdk1.6.0_33, remove the default java of Openjdk, add the java plugin
into the firefox, it seems sucessful to run the first page of wonderland.
But after the java windows push out, only a gray backgroup, it did not pop
up login windows. I also try to install the Nvidia driver into VMware or
Ubuntu, but all fail. I copy the wonderland running message here. Can
anyone know what's going on?

are you running the server in a virtual machine and trying to connect
from the host machine?

you might be targeting the wrong localhost. Also you should start up
the server with its own IP address if you want to access from some
other machine in the network.

I am about to go through the same process, using Proxmox. It's a breeze
to set up it's packages, and the under-pinning is a KVM running on a
Debian kernel. So, I'm interested in your progress. Ric

I got the answer:

java -Dwonderland.webserver.host=YOUR_IP_ADDRESS_HERE -jar Wonderland.jar

And it did work.

Thanks a lot Jose.
