We’ve finalized the summer 2012 Wonderland Wednesday schedule. Next week, we plan to wrap up in-world development of the telepointer project and then for the rest of the summer, offer the following “back to basics” set of workshops:
- June 27 - Finish telepointers - July 4th - No WW - July 11 - Basic World Building - July 18 - Basic Scripting - no programming knowledge – Object Movement - July 25 - Basic Scripting - Javascript users – dynamic worlds - Aug 1 - Basic World Building - Aug 8 - Basic Scripting - Objection Creation - Aug 15 - Basic Scripting - Object Creation - Javascript users - Aug 22 - Google SketchUp to Wonderland - Aug 29 - Google SketchUp to Wonderland - part 2 - using textures
To maximize the exposure of these workshops, we’ve created a doodle poll to better gauge what time would be best to see most people.
At your earliest convenience, please respond to the doodle poll so we can schedule the meetings at the best time. For reference, the poll is from 10am Eastern Day Time to 6pm Eastern Day Time.
This Wednesday, June 27th, 2012 from 5-6pm Eastern Day Time, we will be wrapping up the in-world telepointer improvements before starting the new summer schedule detailed previously. For more information, please see our facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/events/151223635013293

are we having a release meeting this month? I haven't really looked at
the issues I had pending so not that I would be very helpful, but just
checking.
cheers,

Based on community feedback from the doodle poll, we decided to hold our summer meetings from 6pm-7pm Eastern on our community server: http://owf1.virtualnorthstar.org . Our first meeting this Wednesday will be on Basic World Building. Thank you for everyone who participated in the poll!
Please RSVP on our Facebook event, prior to the meeting so we can get a good sense of how many participants to plan for. The event can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/events/359794017425239/

This week we will continue our summer back-to-basics series of
workshops with a session on basic scripting for non-programmers. The
workshop will take a hands-on approach to demonstrating various
scripted actions and animations. Join us Wednesday July 18th, 2012
from 6:00pm - 7:00pm Eastern Day Time on our community server:

Sorry due to the timming for me is very difficult to be inworld. But I am
very interested in the topic scripting without programming. Someone can
sendme a link where this topic is addressed? What wonderland plugin
EZScript or ScriptingComponent?

The scripting workshop for non-programmers from last Wednesday hasn't
been published. There will be another slightly more technical one this
Wednesday that will go over more topics. The framework for both the
workshop is EZScript. I regret that there isn't much in the way of
tutorials for EZScript outside of this reference page:
http://faithhold.dyndns.org:8080/JSPWiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JagWire I'm
going to have a fair amount of downtime in the next week driving
across the country so I'm playing around with the idea of writing a
series of tutorials for my blog: http://purelyvirtual.wordpress.com/ I
haven't updated the blog in quite a while so this might make for a
good series of updates.

Carlos, yes, they share the same philosophy of allowing users to
script objects in-world, but they are two completely different
implementations, using different underlying tools. Both are worth
looking at.
