i am a ruby developer, i live in china, sorry bother you.
i saw you works on github. i am interesting in ruote, i want to try it
in my project. One problem is that i do not know how to translate
existing xpdl files to right format. Ruota could understand it.
Could you give me some guides? I know there is tool ruota-transition,
but it seems long time no maintain.

Thanks first!
David.

Hello David,

welcome to ruote's mailing-list.

Since you were interested in ruote-transition, I've made the effort to
renovate it:

https://github.com/jmettraux/ruote-transition

It should work, but its "compiler" is very naive.

The best way to translate from XDPL to ruote, is to look at the graphical
view of XPDL and rewrite as a ruote process definition.

I recommend you study ruote process definitions and expressions

http://ruote.rubyforge.org/expressions.html

Try with simple things and then move on to more difficult things.

If you need help as you move on, feel free to post questions here.

Best regards,
