wdw register window column spacing?
Hi, The inter-column spacing in the wdw register window is not quite right on OS/2. There is not enough space between the value and the description in the next column. How is it on other platforms? If it is OK, I will make the fix OS/2 only. Thanks, Steve -- ------------------------------ ------------------------------ ---------... more »

Suggested improvement for Wasm: Removing register/label name conflicts
... That would be the contributors' newsgroup. X-post and F'up2 set. ... Hmmm... sounds to me like you've just demonstrated that that calling convention needs re-thinking. ... I'm afraid you have that backwards. Just because in _one_ particular use case register names can be disallowed safely, that doesn't mean you... more »

Tutorial Links Lost
I recently accessed my tutorial on over-large code segment errors and found that /nothing links to it/. Apparently, someone reorganized the page pointed to by the link on [link] (that is, [link]) so that it no longer... more »

BWK's AWK (Aug. 10, 2011)
Hi, About a year ago, Guenter patched AWK to compile with OpenWatcom, esp. since a much older version was included in OW's srcs. Well, just FYI, a newer version (Aug. 10, 2011) exists. [link] [link] Sorry, but I don't know what's changed, nor have I tested it. It's... more »

Support for "extended addressing real mode"?
Hi, I'm currently developing an alternative firmware for an 80186 based IP camera. As other choices are more or less non-existent I tried out the OpenWatcom C compiler and I'm really happy with it. The only problem is that the 80186 CPU uses "extended addressing real mode" (aka "extended mode", aka "extended real mode", aka "Turbo186 mode",... more »

Shared libraries in Linux
Hi all, I've started playing with libelf and hope to contribute something in the direction of shared library support to the Linux port. Just a little heads up, in case someone else is working on this? -- Johann Oskarsson [link] |[] PostgreSQL Development, 24x7 Support, Training and Services --+--... more »

64-bit switch in OWC future?
Hi, Had a (one-off so far) need for 64-bit support in a switch expression recently, when compiling Apache's 'subversion' source with OWC 1.9. Eventually found this is presently not supported in OWC 1.9 but was wondering if it might make it into OWC 2.0, before I try 'selling' a work- around (if-else) patch to the 'subversion' people?... more »
