0.9.1: bottom panel with no elevation data?

I'm running 0.9.1 as a test, without any elevation data.  The bottom panel (what is that called, by the way?) looks a little weird without it.  See http://bit.ly/13IdL8N for screenshot.

Can I just turn that panel off easily?  What is it intended to show, when there's no elevation data?  The curves in the arrows don't seem meaningful, the layout seems funky.  I think I'd just like to omit it for now.

Right, it's only relevant if you build your graph with elevation data.

You can turn it off in:
/opentripplanner-webapp/src/main/webapp/js/otp/config.js

Change line 66 to:
showElevationGraph : false
