Dear all,

The GeoDa Center is pleased to announce the alpha release of GeoDaSpace. GeoDaSpace implements models that control for both spatial autocorrelation and heteroskedasticity based on these recent references. GeoDaSpace documentation is under development.

You can access GeoDaSpace Alpha here after logging in:

https://geodacenter.asu.edu/software/downloads/geodaspace

The following models are available in the alpha release:

  • OLS
  • 2SLS
  • GM/GMM spatial error
  • GM/GMM spatial lag
  • GM/GMM spatial lag and error

with options for:

  • spatial and non-spatial diagnostics
  • non-spatial endogenous variables
  • heteroskedasticity/HAC

and these spatial weights (including weights map viewer):

  • contiguity
  • distance (bands, knn, inverse distance)
  • kernel

The code that GeoDaSpace Alpha is based on will be released as part of PySAL 1.3 on January 31, 2012.

Since this is an alpha release, you might still find bugs in this version. You can use this dataset to make sure GeoDaSpace runs on your system. Please send bug reports to geoda...@asu.edu so we can address them.

Best,

The GeoDaSpace team @ the GeoDa Center
