Welcome to the OpenSocial Application Development Group!!

Thank you for taking the time to participate and making the social Web better! Here are a few things to consider as you get started in the community group. Please review these before posting any content.

It is the responsibility of each person to exercise informed caution when posting to an OpenSocial community group. Users should be aware that their messages may be publicly available on-line in perpetuity. In other words, apply a good dose of common sense.

Individuals are solely responsible for the content of their posts. Posting of technical material to an active list for OpenSocial may, in appropriate circumstances, be deemed a contribution to under the OpenSocial IPR Policy. Individuals are responsible for their contributions under the terms described in that policy. If you would like to review the IPR information for OpenSocial, you can find it on the Foundation information page here: http://docs.opensocial.org/display/OSF/Home

When you post a message, it should directly pertain to the purpose of the community group. Posts should be made in plain text format in the body of the message. When absolutely necessary, attachments may be included. Attachments should be provided in a non-proprietary format.

Individuals should not forward messages to an OpenSocial community group without the permission of the original author(s). Messages containing inappropriate content should not be posted to the community groups. These include posts which are:
* mass-distributed (spam);
* unrelated to the topic of the community group;
* disrespectful or abusive in tone; or
* overtly commercial or promotional.

Those who post messages containing inappropriate content to community group may be permanently unsubscribed and restricted from future participation. Inappropriate messages and spam may be removed from list archives and subject to further action.

If you have any questions, please send an email to officers at opensocial.org.

Enjoy!
