I'd like to update the timeline [1] to reflect reality. We're currently slated to be done with spec patches on Nov 6, but that's not likely. I'd like to set a fairly aggressive deadline for owners to formalize their proposals into spec patches - I think it helps clarify the proposal and foster discussion.
What do folks think about the following plan/timeline?
11/14 - All proposals should have an initial patch posted to the spec list (that's 2 weeks from now)
11/18 - Initial votes started for most proposals (so they can be closed/committed/-1'd before Thanksgiving holiday)
12/1-12/5 - Focus on proposals that got -1'd before Thanksgiving holiday
12/5 - Final votes on all proposals must begin by this date (and close by 12/12)
The 11/14 date is the only one I really care about at this point, just so that we can get most changes in before Thanksgiving.
Sound reasonable?

We should be able to abide by the 11/14 date. We're also trying to be
aggressive about getting our patches formalized.

+1 on this. Admittedly, and apologetically, I've been a bit derelict
focusing on the extensions piece. Will do my best to get something by
11/14.
