The OpenSocial 2.5 specification is *ready for review*. We are already expecting some additional changes as a result of this review (for example, Ryan Baxter needs to complete a careful review of the Common Container specification since it is leaving incubation.) Areas that have been changed in 2.5 are marked with red draft tags in trunk.
- Finalization of the Common Container - Preferred Experiences - Metadata Service - Deprecation of WAP specification
This review period will last until the end of June. Voting on OpenSocial 2.5 will begin the first week of July so that it can conclude in time for announcement at the SOTU on July 17th.

Matt, THANKS! for all the leadership on this. I'll have the (hopefully) final patch for 1341 by COB today. We are running close to a code freeze on our end so we've been red lining for awhile.

In addition to reviewing the specification, PLEASE VOTE on the new FEATURES included in OpenSocial 2.5. You will find a link for voting in the comments of each of these specification issues.
I'd like to have the feature votes done by 4th of July so we can have roughly 2 weeks for us to go through final voting before OpenSocial State of the Union. We need a hard cutoff before the final vote because I'll need to pull out features that didn't get 5 votes.
So please vote! Especially if you were the submitter of the feature otherwise it might not stay in.

I'll jump in later on tonight and tomorrow and get my votes in. Once these
are done, we'll need to take an editorial pass thru everything to ensure
we're not introducing any new bugs.

FYI, we are running a bit behind on OpenSocial 2.5. I would have liked to have started final voting last week but I'm still waiting on votes for proposals and reviews to be completed.
I'm going on vacation for a week starting on Friday so I'd like to have the specification in a final or near final state by Thurs so we're ready for SOTU next week. There are other committers around though who can carry the ball next week if need be. (Mark, James, Matt Franklin, and Ryan)
