Custom idspec

Hey,i am new to the application development,I was wondering how to
select the application data of all my users(preferably in an idspec,to
retrieve appdata) .

I need to do this coz,i have to implement a search routine.

Also,is there a simple way to have global application data.
Example:- Highscores.. or the no. of times the app has been accessed.

Any suggestions for implementing a search routine is also appreciated.
