Hi,

I'm wondering if the bulk data and the data CRP uses on its web site
are in sync?

As an example, our calculations for Finance, Insurance and Real Estate
contributions to Melissa Bean for this year are extremely close to
what CRP posts on its Web site, but not identical. CRP has her
campaign receiving $368,125 in total this cycle -- $285,775 from PACs
and $82,350 from individuals. In my calculations using the bulk data
download from Nov. 23, her campaign has received $369,375 in total
this cycle -- $285,775 from PACs and $83,600 from individuals.

I'm also wondering if there have been any further developments on
posting a calendar of bulk data updates?

Thanks,

Alex Cohen

Hi Alex,

At this point, the data should be "in sync" generally.  That is, the individual itemized contributions on which the web site is based are the same contributions provided in the OpenData.  However, the OpenData  tables were generated several days later than the 2010 candidate industry totals were generated. It seems that in these several days, our researchers found additional FIRE money for Melissa Bean.
