I'm really looking forward to seeing many of you at SDSU tomorrow!

We're meeting from 11 AM to 4 PM.

I want to give you an idea of how the event will play out, as many of
you are not developers and have asked how you'll be able to
participate.

Our goals for this event are to test out two apps that have been
developed by Code for America, gather our feedback on the apps to send
back to Code for America's developers, and come up with plans to
maintain the apps (if we're interested in doing so) and plan future
events.

The schedule will look roughly like this:

11:00am: show up, sign in, get to know each other, eat snacks
11:30: start! I'll give a little presentation and Bonnie Dumanis will
speak on behalf of the DA's office about why she thinks open data and
collaboration is important to the city
12:00: we break into two groups to demo and test the art app and data
catalog app.
1:00: lunch arrives and we start eating it
1:30 or 2: someone from each group talks about the app, what they like
about it, what they don't like about it, what they think it needs to
become truly useful
2:30: groups gather again to plan next steps to support the apps or
not support the apps and send feedback to the developers
3:30 or 4: We all leave and maybe go get drinks
Location information

Google Map to VizCenter: http://g.co/maps/bcdmw
The VizCenter is in room 120 of the Chemistry building. CSL-120 is the
proper room number, in case you're familiar with SDSU.

Google Map to parking structure: http://g.co/maps/k2dbu

Per the VizCenter's site: purchase parking voucher at security booth
in front of Chemical Sciences Laboratory and park across the street in
Parking Structure 1."

Let me know if you have any questions!

Couldn't ask for a better plan.
