Hi Mehdi,

I think your question is more appropriate for the openquake-users group (openqua...@googlegroups.com) rather than the openquake-dev.

Anyway could you please tell us which smoketest in particular you tried to run?

We are also in the process of updating the smokests with more examples. They will be soon put in all the alpha testing accounts.

Regarding some instructions about how to use openquake: we are preparing a user manual. As soon as is ready, we will make it available.

Regarding your specific questions:
- what type of data are you interested in? If you are interested in using you own PSHA source model, you can define it in a source model file (you can find examples in the smokests), and put the path of this file in the source model logic tree file. If you are interested in performing a risk analysis, you can provide your exposure and vulnerability models (again examples are present in the smoketests), and put the paths of these file in the config.gem.

- if you want to change the calculation area, you can simply modify the coordinates of the polygon (each vertex defined as a latitude and longitude pair) defined by the REGION key in the config.gem file.

Cheers,

Damiano
