I'd be interested to understand the user acceptance level of dumb terminal displays via tablets. I'm curious about what the target audience is like and how you're going to pitch them.
This seems like the old developer's solution to new tech. But when people purchase these devices, especially iOS, they expect an ultra-modern UI. It seems unproductive to try to deliver a Character-UI (CUI) in this environment. Or rather - you can force employees to use a UI like this but I don't think you'll ever sell an app with this as the main UI. And yet for all of the reasons why we appreciate the CUI, perhaps it's not such folly after all.
