New issue 54 by thomas.r...@googlemail.com: OPDS catalogue generating
software
http://code.google.com/p/openpub/issues/detail?id=54

Is it possible to create a software download, to generate an OPDS catalogue
for a website? I.e. a dialogue page to create (cut+paste) content and
output a root.xml with various listing.xml files based on input fields.
It would be very useful for small-scale ebook publishers, and provide a
simple way to OPDS enable websites.

I'm not a coder but I'm using PHP and MySQL to design in a general way, something which the community can fine tune/make functional. It could be pure PHP and javascript but the database seems to offer the option to update new tags, relations, country, currencies etc without editing forms or arrays. If someone has already gone ahead with this I can get back to editing copy/manuscripts.

You can use software like calibre2opds to do just that.

David, I'm using Windows 7 Starter (the basement where the Windows 7 Pro machine is, is too cold) and when I try to install calibre2opds the Windows troubleshooter says it's an incompatible application - I tried the install as administrator. Also, Norton just ditched the beta version and now wants me to restart the machine.
