Description: Portable Release XML (PRX) [http://purl.org/prx/1.0/] is an XML document format designed to assist with the electronic creation and distribution of press releases.  This group was formed to manage the evolution and promotion of the PRX format.

Why PRX? 
  Why was PRX developed? Why not use NewsML, XPRL, hRelease, etc? I am a lazy man. I want to write a press release one time and then have the flexibility to distribute that release through any service I choose, automatically.
