This is certainly a cool idea. I got a chance to meet these guys at the Popular Mechanics Breakthrough Awards (http:// www.popularmechanics.com/breakthrough07) this year, and talked to them about the application to our project. I am uncertain as to the actual utility of the device discussed here http://www.fabathome.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page but it seems to me it might well be quite useful for custom fabrication of designed parts for assemblies..
