නැත්නම් ටික ටිකද?
පැය 36 එක දිගට කරන එකේ ගුණාත්මක බවේ ගැටලුවක් පැණනගිනවා
එනිසා තමන්ට විවේකය ගන්න වෙනවා.
එත් රැටම කරන්න කියලා නිතියක් දාන්න බැ.
එත් අදාල කාලය තමන් නිසි ලෙස භාවිතා කරනවා.
බ්ලොග් ලිවිමයි මේකයි දෙකක්.
බ්ලොග් කලින් ලියලා තියනවා වගේ මේකත් දැන්ම කරන්න ගන්න පුලුවන්.
එත් බ්ලොග් එක නිදිමතේ ලිව්වට ගැටලුවක් නැ ලොකු හානියක් නැ.
එත් මෙතනදි ගුණාත්මක බව ගැනත් හැමෝම හිතන්න.
දැනට කිසිම ඉංදීය බසකින් උදව් පිටු තම මව් බසට හරවලා නැ
ඉතින් මේ වැඩේ අපේ අයට කරන්න පුලුවන් මුලින්ම. :)

නමුත් පහසුව තකා කුඩා කණ්ඩායම් නිර්මාණය කරන්නයි බලාපොරොත්තුව.
එකෙදි යම් කෙනෙක් එම කණ්ඩායමේ නියමුවෙක් ලෙස නම් කරනවා.

දැනට තමන්ගේ නිවසේ සිටම කරන්න තමයි සැලසුම.

එකේ පහසුකම් පෝය දිනයට ලැබුනොත් එහෙ සිට එක් වෙවි.
ඒ වගේ අදුනන අයට එක් රැස් වෙන්න පුලුවන්.
මෙරටින් බැහැරව ඉන්න තිදෙනෙක් ඉතාලිය, එක්සත් රාජධානය සහ සවුදි සිට එක්

මෙතන ඉන්නේ එහෙම නමට එන අය නෙමේ නේ.
අවංකව උදව් කරන අය. එනිසා අපිට මේක හොදින් කරගන්න පුලුවන්.
හැකි හැමෝම තවත් යාලුවෙක් දෙන්නෙක් සම්බන්ධකරගන්න.
වැඩේට කැමති උන අයට සිංහල අවුරුද්දට පෙර උපදෙස් එවන්නම්.
බයවෙන්න එපා ලලිත් මේක අපිට කරන්න පුලුවන්.

It looks like time consuming as there are a lot of words..OUR TIME IS VALUABLE..so if this is so unorganized and you people are asking for help of everyone without geting organized , then you all are wasting all of our TIME..so please ask everyone to comment on the google group discussion board rather than sending e mails and also restrict emails to be send all over..send only the emails which are important ..

First about the group mail issue. I think the purpose of this mail group is stated clearly in the group page, to a level anyone can understand. So it is reasonable to assume that a person subscribing to the group is informed of the type of mails he/she would receive. On the other hand I can't remember any unrelated emails coming to the group (correct me if I was wrong). If we go even further, the real task is not maintaining the group but to focus on OpenOffice related tasks (such as the translation of UI and Help), so if anyone is interested in contributing to that task, bearing an extra mail or two would not be a problem (this is my personal opinion).
Yes, the translation is done in a Pootle server (Similar to LaunchPad). Obviously "what to translate" is the OO help :) . There is no competition (the word තරඟය does give out a wrong impression though). This is done to accelerate the translation process. There is no specific time to translate, but if your expecting to come to the Marathon, the date and time is very well mentioned in the link I've provided. Please refer to that again.
The outcome is (again, obviously) the translated OO.org Help content. There is no limit of words a person can or should translate. QA will later be done, I think. Currently Danishka is the person who is moderating accounts and all that (you should be aware of that If you read the past emails).
I'm not an administrator or someone like that in this task. Like you, I didn't know "how to translate", "how would we submit" etc etc two or three weeks before. I got to know them once I expressed my interest in translating the Help (which can be done by replying to an earlier thread).
And this is not "Helping" as you call it. We don't "help" Danishka to do this. We just contribute to the OO.org Help translation task. For us, the outcome will be readable help material a sinhala person can understand. Again, this I got to know "once I started to work" in the project. I'm sure you have worked in LaunchPad. So there is no reason to sweat :)
There are two famous words in community work jargon... No Spoon-feeding (or is it three?). Read mails, and look around. Start working and you'll find answers to most of the questions without much effort.
