Hello to all.
I'm sure Openmeetings will rock, once I'm able to install it
successfully. However, I'm having problems doing so.
The install of the latest Openmeetings version is on a CentOS 5.1
box. I have jdk-1.5.0_11-fcs already installed (and really don't want
to change it as I have another well-working app using it). I've
successfully installed apache-ant-1.7.0, red5-0.7.0, ImageMagick,
OpenOffice.org, swftools, ghostscript, etc., as per instruction. Red5
seems to work, as I'm able to access the demos. I've created a
database in MySQL, and have the proper user permissions assigned to
it. I've tweaked the hibernate.cfg.xml file, again as per
instruction. (I might point out that the installation instructions
aren't quite accurate, but I believe I've installed correctly for my
OS and version of Openmeetings. For example, the instructions state
that a subdirectory "xmlcrm" will be created in the /usr/local/red5/
webapps directory. Not so. The directory is called openmeetings, and
I've found that it must be located in /usr/local/red5/dist/webapps/
root to have any chance of working. At least, that seems to be my
experience.)
Anyway, when I try to reach
http://192.168.x.x/openmeetings/ from my
desktop (this server doesn't have X installed), I get the following:
Autoconnect
NetConnection.Connect.Closed (my note: this is after a count down)
rtmtp://192.168.x.x:8088/openmeetings/hibernate
I've tried every combination of possible fixes I can think of, but no
joy. I'd really appreciate your help in getting Openmeetings up and
running.
