Hello,

In two weeks, i have the oral defense of my thesis in Paris. Two
member of the jury cannot be present, and i am looging to realize a
video conference with them.

The problem is that we cannot use Skype for more than two users for
video conference. I remarks that your group is working on such
solutions. Could you advise me please how can i use an easier method
to realize this scenario? because i feel that i software of open
meeting is complicated to install and not easy.

If you know a simple method, please help me.

Best regards,
Gilbert

openmeetings, is actually quite easy to install, have you tried it
with this guide
http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/wiki/InstallationDebian .
Also if you could mention what issues you are facing when trying to
install it would be great.

Gilbert,
You may use one of our demo servers for your presentation.
For example, http://telebridge.ru

Thanks.

Pankaj,

Well, this is a linux desktop in our office. Sometimes our colleagues
who open a window decrease Internet connection speed to zero by
detaching network cables. :-) We are working on moving it to the data
center. Do you experience connection speed problems?

Thanks.

No No , there is nothing like connection speed problem from your side. It is just fantastic. I just wanted to know what bandwidth does it take to run the openmeetings so smooth and gud as you people are running.. That was my concern only to know about.

Pankaj,
I have measured the bandwidth openmeetings takes [1], and it should be
enough for your case [2]. I believe the bandwidth size for the whole
office is several Mbits, but I don't know for sure.

Well, I don't think that the nature of your delays is caused by
bandwidth size. The first tool to try to measure how quickly tcp
packets reach your server is ping. There is another metrics (jitter),
which describes the situation when one of the packets is much slower
than others - you may surf Internet for a jitter measurement tool.

Well, sorry for clumsy language. I mean your bandwidth is sufficient
for openmeetings.
