To all OpenLoopz Users,

As many of you know, we have been working round the clock day and night for months now on the next major version of OpenLoopz known up until now as "OpenLoopz Web".  The direction of the project has changed several times behind closed doors and there have been many internal delays that have prevented us from committing and making our plans public.  That time is over and now the direction of OpenLoopz is secured and we can begin to reconnect with our users and share our excitement about the future of OpenLoopz.

OpenLoopz.com is an entirely new version of OpenLoopz.  It is built on the core principles of the old Android app that we know and love but goes a lot further providing many new features, not least of which will be seamless synchronization with the mobile app.

A new version of OpenLoopz For Android is being developed for Android 2.1+ devices.   This will be an entirely separate app and will not be compatible with the current version of OpenLoopz available now on the Android Market . The current version will shortly be renamed to OpenLoopz Lite.

OpenLoopz Lite will be positioned as a stand-alone solution for legacy Android devices (Android 1.5 to Android 2.0).  It will not sync with OpenLoopz.com but it will receive regular feature updates and support assuming there is sufficient demand.

While we cannot provide specific release dates at this time we can say that we are hoping to launch a private beta programme in the summer.  We have launched a temporary landing page at www.openloopz.com where you can register your email address to receive regular status updates going forward. All submissions will automatically qualify for the private beta.

Finally, I would like to thank all our users for their continued support for OpenLoopz.  We know it has been frustrating during the past months but rest assured the future is bring for OpenLoopz!
