DepthCallback never call

hi guys, i took this example http://openkinect.org/wiki/C%2B%2BOpenCvExample

 

 to work the data of depth on my raspberry, but the function DepthCallback is never calling by the library, yet all is ok.

I have the same problem with Raspberry Pi. I am suspecting the power supplied by Raspberry Pi's USB is not enough for Kinect although Kinect is also connected via its power cable. But I cannot test it since I don't have a powered USB hub right now.

So can anybody confirm that we need to use a powered USB hub for Kinect to work on Raspberry Pi?

Unfortunately the problem isn't power, at least not anymore with the newer Pi. The usb subsystem on the soc can't keep up with the traffic from the kinect and drops all packets. This is a known issue for quite some time now. I suggest that you try a different board for embedded development
